Spaghetti Carbonara

Spaghetti Carbonara - takes only 30 min start to finish! Learn how to make carbonara sauce with pancetta and parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Onion
  • 5-6 strips of bacon(pancetta)
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 cup of parmesan cheese
  • 1 pound spaghetti(or any pasta)
  • butter and salt

Directions

  1. First we cut the bacon into small cubes and chop half an onion.
  2. Then heat some olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Then add the bacon and cook till it starts to turn crispy and then add the onions and garlic if you prefer.
  3. At the same time bring a large pot with hot water and salt to boil. After the water starts to boil add the pasta and cook for about 8-10 minutes according to the directions on the label.
  4. Crack the eggs in a bowl and beat them while adding half of the parmesan cheese.
  5. When the pasta is cooked and pancetta and onions are sauteed add the pasta using tongs.It is fine if the pasta is still wet.
  6. Now add the beaten egg mix to the pan and mix it with the pasta and bacon as quickly as you can before the eggs gets fried.
  7. Cook for a couple minutes and it should be ready to serve.

Before serving, sprinkle it with some cheese and bland ground pepper according to your preference.
